Jerry Michael Schmitt, age 71, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018 at The Villa at Rose City. He was born on April
2, 1947 in West Branch to John and Ethel (Brick) Schmitt. Jerry had lived in West Branch his entire life. He married Jeanette
Lacko in West Branch on August 31, 1968. Jerry was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church and of the NRA. He loved
working with cows and knew the lineage of every one of his herd. He enjoyed playing euchre, watching football, hunting,
fishing, golfing, bowling, snowmobile races and spending time with his family and friends.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Jeanette
Schmitt of West Branch; daughters, Chandra (Robert) Cochran of Fenton and Carrie (John) Hull of West Branch; granddaughters,
Caitlin (Robert) Zaumseil and Emily (Jacob) Williams; great grandchildren, Ellie, Charlotte, Nicolette and Alexandra; beloved
dog, Barrs; brother, Ronald (Joyce) Schmitt of West Branch; sister, Betty (Charles) Rau of West Branch; and many nieces
and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brother, Richard Dean Schmitt, sister, Aleen DeRosa, sister, Alice Greene,
sister, Mary Miles, and brother, Robert Schmitt.
Nancy Mae Fisher, 70, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018, at her home in West Branch. She lived in West Branch her
entire life.
Nancy was born Sept. 9, 1948, in West Branch. She graduated from West Branch High School in 1966. Nancy's
first job was at Bell Telephone as a telephone operator. She also worked at Abigail’s Flowers & Gifts, The Button
Hole and Caroline’s Sewing. She loved quilting. If there was an event in town that included quilts, she was part of
it. Nancy made more than 1,000 knitted hats for newborns and delivered them to the hospitals. She made blankets for Project
Linus and dresses to send to children in Africa. Nancy also made “angel gowns” from wedding dresses for babies
who passed away, working with Hospice of Helping Hands. She was a giving person, loved spending time with her family and friends,
and was always front and center at family functions.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 50 years, Victor Fisher of
West Branch; children, Barb (Mark LePoudre) Fisher, Susan Fisher, Victor Fisher and Jeremy (Jennifer) Fisher; grandchildren,
Adam Fisher, Alishia Fisher, Ashley Waters, Derick Waters, Ashanti Waters, Oliver Fisher, Aniela-Marie Fisher and Robert Fisher;
great-grandchildren, Jordan, Elijah, Armani and Zuriah; mother, Geraldine Oliver; siblings, Ed Oliver, Dan (Connie) Oliver,
Kim (Randy) Mier, Brad (Barb) Oliver and Scott (Trudy) Oliver; and her quilting sisters who remain her sisters in Christ.
She was preceded in death by her father, Adam Oliver Jr.
Danny J. Gallagher, age 69 of West Branch, passed
away Friday, March 17, 2017 at McLaren Bay Region in Bay City, MI. Danny was born on December 10, 1947 to Arthur and Dorothy
Gallagher in Flint, Michigan moving to West Branch at age 3. He married Patricia Ann Mudge on June 5, 1970 in Standish, MI.
Graduated from Ferris State University 1970 and began work at State Savings Bank of West Branch until 1982 when he moved to
Hillman to join Hillman State Bank and later North Bank. He moved back… to the West Branch area in 1993 to joined First Bank until he retired April 2013. Danny
was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Charter member James Cronk Council Knights of Columbus in Hillman and very involved
in Kiwanis Club of West Branch. He enjoyed four wheeling, fishing, hunting, rabbit camp, going to his cabin in Goetzville,
MI and playing Cribbage with family and friends, and traveling especially enjoying several trips touring Ireland with family
and friends and visiting the Irish living relatives there.
Danny is survived by his wife, Patricia Gallagher of West
Branch, brothers, Gary (Laurann) Gallagher of Flint, Greg Gallagher of West Branch, mother-in-law, Lucille Mudge of Standish,
sister-in-law, Linda (Randy) Haas of Lincoln Park and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents,
and brother, Patrick Gallagher.
Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on
Monday, March 20, 2017 from 2-9 PM with Scripture Service at 7:00 PM. A Celebration of Life Mass will be held on Tuesday,
March 21, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 12:00 PM with visitation starting at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at St.
Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Father Patrick Maher will officiate.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Ogemaw
County Food Pantry or Kids Against Hunger – Kiwanis Club.

Therese Rose Leverenz, 68, of West Branch passed away Friday, Dec. 16, 2016, at the Villa
of West Branch following a lingering illness.
She was born in Alger on Jan. 21, 1948, to the late
Fred and Lilia (Tolfree) Saladine. She married Henry Leverenz on Jan. 21, 1967, in Alger. He preceded her in death Oct. 30,
2012. She was retired from Ogemaw County, was a member of TOPS and enjoyed taking photos of her family and special friends.
She
is survived by her brother, Ted Saladine; sisters, Juanita Smith and Doris Ritchie; and many nieces and nephews.
She
was preceded in death by two brothers, Clifford Saladine and LeRoy Saladine; and three sisters, Charlotte Hoeppner, Angela
Hamilton and Mary Tiltman.
Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place, with private family services
to be held in the spring. Arrangements were entrusted to Sisson Funeral Home, Gladwin.

Born in West Branch on August 15, 1948 to Joe and Joan Stephens, Leonard had the privilege of being
named after both his late maternal grandfather and his father Joseph. His mother Joan Stephens, preceded him in death - also
at a relatively early age.
Leonard served his country in the Army, being
stationed in Germany during the Vietnam era. Thereafter, he received his business administration degree from Ferris State.
His successful career as a real estate agent began and ended with great friends: Dale Sheltrown at Century 21, and Patty Dack
at C. A. Hanes Realty.
Leonard was president of the Ten Lakes Sportsman's
Club, an avid fundraiser for the Ogemaw Nature Park, and served on the Parks and Recreation Committee for Ogemaw County. He
was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the American Legion, and Knights of Columbus.
Besides loving his clients and work, Leonard thoroughly enjoyed his lifelong passion for hunting and fishing, and
the annual trips to do so with his buddies,Wednesdays at Hanks, and pulling pranks on anyone he could.
Among those so saddened by his death on December 5, 2015 are his father Joe (Cindy) Stephens,
sister Donna Stephens Morris, and nephew Michael Morris all of West Branch; niece Micayla Jo Ann Morris of Saratoga Springs,
NY., his devoted friend Stan Doane, and partner Linda Doba.
Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday December 9, 2015 at
12 Noon from the St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. T. Patrick Maher presiding with inurnment in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Family will receive friends at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home on Tuesday from 1 to 8 pm. A Rosary Service and Military
Honors will be held at 7 pm Tuesday evening. On Wednesday Mr. Stephens will lie in state at the church from11 am until time
of Mass.

Leo Jerome “Jerry” Shannon, 64, of Macon, Ga., formerly of Port
Huron, died April 11, 2013 in the veterans hospital in Dublin, Ga.
Mr. Shannon was born April 18, 1948 in Reed City, to the late Leo Joseph and
Laura Shannon, and was raised in West Branch, graduating with the class of 1966.. The family moved to Port Huron after he
graduated from high school.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was the custodian
at St. Stephen Catholic Church for many years. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and cooking.
Mr. Shannon is survived by his daughters, Lauren Shannon of Monroe, Anna Lee
Shannon of Novi and Rachel (Erik) DeSloover of Monroe; son, Elijah Shannon of Everett, Wash.; grandchildren, Alana Shannon,
Isabelle Pringle, Robert Pringle and Lucy DeSloover; sisters, Sandy (George) Rostine, Deb (Mike) Lee and Kathleen (Scott)
Garska, all of Port Huron; brothers, Greg (Janet) Shannon of Grand Ledge and Martin Shannon of Macon, Ga.; and many nieces,
nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Shannon, in 1973.

Frederick J. "Fritz" Ehinger (July 6, 1920 - February 10, 2013)
Frederick J. “Fritz” Ehinger, age 92 of West Branch passed away at his home on Sunday, February
10, 2013. Fritz was born July 6, 1920 in West Branch, the son of Anthony and Elizabeth Ehinger. Fritz had lived in West Branch
for all of his life. He was a past Grand Knight and member of the K of C #2022, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a
lifetime member of the National Trappers Association and Michigan Trappers Association. He also served as a trustee for West
Branch Township, a former director of the Ogemaw County Community Credit Union and a board member of the Ogemaw County Soil
Conservation. Fritz served in the U.S. Army serving in the Pacific Theater during WWII. He was a partner in the Ehinger Brothers
Excavating Company and was an avid fisherman.
Fritz is survived by his children, Michael (Verna) Ehinger, Richard (Jody) Ehinger, Joyce (Peter) Swartz and Mark (Kathie)
Ehinger all of West Branch and Laurie (William) Morris of Stanford, MT, 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and his brother
Jerry (Joanie) Ehinger of West Branch. Also is surviving are his sisters in law, Nancy Ehinger, Georgina Ehinger and Jane
Ehinger. He was preceded in death by his wife Gladys in 2002, his daughter Brenda in 1963 and his brothers Roy, Delbert, August,
William, Edward and Jack and his sisters Marie, Donna and Doris.
Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 from 2-9
p.m. with a Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. and a K of C Rosary at 7:30 p.m. On Thursday, February 21, 2013 Fritz will lie
in state at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Branch beginning at 10:00a.m. until the time of the Mass at 11:00 a.m. Fr.
Patrick Maher will officiate with Military honors. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Branch in the spring.

Bonnie M. Denstedt, age 61 of Lupton, Class of 1966, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2009
at Bay Regional Medical Center in Bay City. Bonnie had lived in the Lupton area for most of her life. She was a member of
the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Bonnie enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband Carroll Denstedt of Lupton, children, Henry Miller of Lupton, Chris Egan of Rose
City, Amber (Scott) Kreiner of Hale and Jennifer (Tony) Vaughn of West Branch, 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Also
surviving is her mother, Marie Miller (Bob Carolin) of Lupton and her sisters, June Lincoln of Holland and Doris Winslow of
Cheboygan. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Miller and her sister, Nancy Miller.
