The meeting was called to order by President Ray Valley at 7:49 P.M.

President Valley introduced the teachers in attendance.

Members of the earliest classes in attendance were announced.

Old Business

Minutes of the 2008 Business meeting are printed in the program, Page 2.

The motion was made and seconded to accept the minutes as printed. Motion passed

The annual Treasurer’s report was given by Treasurer Jo Bailey Neubecker.

A motion to accept the report was made and seconded. Motion Passed.

New Business

Josephine Bailey Neubecker, Treasurer, announced the recipients of the West Branch HIgh School Alumni Association for the year 2009, which were presented by the treasurer at Ogemaw Heights on May 14,2009.

They were as follows: $400 each to Jonathon Spencer, Rachel Reetz, Kaytlin Sippi, Veronica Dawn DeColumna, Erika Van Goethem, Derek Hughey, Noreen Fournier, Jessica Bertram, Tara Neubecker, and Emily Walker. The Dr. John G. “Jack” Thompson scholarship in the amount of $500 was awarded to Noreen Fournier, and the Parliament Family Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Derek Hughey in the amount of $300.

Mary Ellen Sappington Good, Class of 1961 asked for the class pictures to be refurbished by the association.

Mary Anne Whitchurch Tuck responded that the officers had discussed this issue after the meeting last year, and decided to use the Miscellanous monies that are given each year. This year, 2009, there was $686 earmarked for that fund. Each year, according to how much is offered, some of the pictures will be refurbished.

The celebrating class were introduced as follows:

1949 60th Anniversary-Clifford VanSickle

1954 55h Anniversary-Doug Jameson

1959 50th Anniversary-Gene Hoffman& Don Powers

1964 45th Anniversary Jerry Roland.

The Class of 1969 40th Anniversary was recognized by President Ray Valley.

Mary Ellen Sappington gave the $300 to the fund for refurbishing class pictures.

A report was given by Nancy Rea Griffin on the monies given byAlumni toward the North Central Michigan Community Foundation,  WBHS WBHS Alumni Endowment Fund, Orioles Forever. One scholarship was given this year from that fund.
