West Branch High School Alumni Association

Business Meeting Minutes
The meeting was called to order by President Ray
Valley. The invocation was given by Vice-President Richard Hamilton.
Association members and friends who served in the
armed forces were recognized and honored.
The members attending from the oldest classes were
recognized and honored.
Hazel Fach Needham and Mary Parliament Duggan from
the class of 1933 were presented with floral arrangements and Loren Parliament from the class of 1934 was presented with a
boutonniere.
Teachers in attendance as our guests were Cliff
Bedore and his wife Ruth and daughter Melanie, Chuck and Barb DeGolia, and Zale Miller.
Class roll call was given by Secretary Mary Anne
Whitchurch Tuck with members attending from 1933 through 1969, with the exception of 1960.
Minutes of the 2003 meeting were not read.
The treasurer's report was given by Josephine Bailey
Neubecker.
The 2004 graduates of Ogemaw Heights High School,
recipients of our scholarships, were announced by Vice-President Richard Hamilton.
They were: Vince DeMatio (Jack & Dorothy Hammond
Memorial Scholarship), Nicole Rae Mason (WBHS Alumni Association Teacher's Memorial Scholarship), Annaliese Ava Schell (WBHS
Alumni Association Memorial Scholarship), Kimberly Kay Rosebrugh (WBHS Alumni Association Memorial Scholarship), and Steven
Michal Hanft (WBHS Alumni Association Memorial Scholarship).
A drawing for $1000 in donated money to be given
away in increments of $500, $300, $100 and $100 was held.
A drawing was held, using the banquet tickets of
the attendees for 10 floral table decorations.
Honored classes were introduced:
Class of 1934-President Ray Valley
Class of 1944-Bob Davis
Class of 1954-Doug Jameson
Class of 1964-Susan Crecine Steelman
St.Joe 1954-Helen Rau Baker
Nominations for a two year term for officers of
the association were held.
Darlene Clemens Winslow, a member of and representing
the nominating committee consisting of Clara Brewer Clark, Jim Orr, Helen Hasty Jennings, presented the slate of officers
as follows.
President-Ray Valley
Vice President-Richard Hamilton
Secretary-Mary Anne Whitchurch Tuck
Treasurer-Josephine Bailey Neubecker
No additional nominations were made from the floor.
Darlene Clemens Winslow made a motion to accept
the slate of officers as presented. Jim Orr seconded the motion. The motion was unanimously passed.
The meeting was adjourned by
President Ray Valley.
