Obituary for Hazel E. Needham Hazel E. Needham, age 97, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Bortz Nursing Home in West
Branch, MI. She was born to Gustav and Elizabeth Fach in Rose City, MI on May 4, 1917. Hazel lived in the Rose City - West
Branch area her whole life. She operated Needham’s Barber Shop in West Branch for more than 70 years and was one of
the first female barbers in the state of Michigan. Hazel was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, dabbled in real estate
and Needham’s Pottery Shop.
Hazel… is survived by her son, Dan (Sandy) Needham of West Branch, MI; grandsons: Jake and Daniel;
great grandchildren: Ashely, Jacey, and Bailey; great great grandchildren: Violet and Izabella; siblings Allan (Lucille)
Fach of Rose City and Gladys Baldwin of Sarasota, FL; and great-niece Kacie Fach. She is preceded in death by her husband,
Wright Needham.
Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Tuesday, January
6, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John
Lutheran Church in West Branch with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Selkirk Cemetery. Reverend Howard
Travis will officiate.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the St. John Lutheran Church Fund.

Mary F. Duggan, age 96 of West Branch, passed away Sunday June 5, 2011 at Bortz Health Care.
Mary was born July 21, 1914 in West Branch to Ray and Lucie (Rosebrugh) Parliament. She married Michael (Mickey) Duggan Jr.
on June 11, 1940 and they lived in Highland Park for several years, where Mary worked as a drug store clerk. She loved flowers,
playing cards, taking bus trips and attending the Seabees reunions with her husband. Mary was a happy, sunny person who was
loved by all.
Mary is survived by her sister, Inez (Jack) Schubert, class of 1938, of West Branch and her brothers,
D. Joe (Joyce) Parliament of Sanford and Dr. Burt Parliament, Class of 1942, of Flint. Also surviving are her sisters-in-law
Pat Parliament of West Branch and Charlotte Parliament of St. Charles and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death
by her husband Michael (Mickey) Duggan in 2000, her sister Beulah Gallagher and her brothers, Loren Parliament and John Parliament.
Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Thursday, June 9, 2011
from 4-7 p.m. The Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Branch. Mary will
lie in state at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m. Fr. Patrick Maher will officiate.
