Business Meeting
May 26, 2001
An invocation was given by
President Ray Valley
Class roll call was given by
secretary Mary Anne Whitchurch Tuck,
and approved as read.
The treasurer's report was given
by Russ Jackson.
After all bills were paid, there was a balance
of $10,741.80.
BUSINESS
Motion to invite the Ogemaw Heights High School
graduating class of 1969 to become dues paying members of the Association...motion by Vern Neubecker..seconded and approved.
Motion to invite persons who attended West Branch
High School but did not graduate from same, to become dues paying members of the WBHS Alumni Association. Motion by Darlene
Clemens Winslow, seconded and approved.
Motion to invite persons who attended
St. Joseph's High School to become dues paying members
of the WBHS Alumni Association, which name shall remain the same.Motion by Bob Davis..seconded and approved.
Motion that West Branch High School Alumni Association
become an annual member of the West Branch Historical Society was made, seconded and approved.
President Ray Valley moved that the following
resolution be adopted:
WHEREAS
THE WEST BRANCH HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
RECOGNIZES THE CONTRIBUTION AND COMMITMENT OF TEACHERS IN THE EDUCATION, PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT, AND PREPARATION OF YOUTH FOR
THEIR LIFETIME CAREER AND LIFE-LONG HAPPINESS:
WHEREAS
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT THE WEST BRANCH
HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION ESTABLISH A $300 SCHOLARSHIP TO BE NAMED THE WEST BRANCH HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
TEACHERS' MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP, AND THIS SCHOLARSHIP IS TO BE GIVEN ANNUALLY IN THEIR HONOR; AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED
THAT THIS SCHOLARSHIP WILL CONTINUE UNTIL SUCH ACTION OF THIS ASSOCIATION RESCINDS IT.
