honor will be selected next Saturday evening at the Trinity Parish House in West Branch, from the ten contestants pictured
here, four shown in last week's issue of this paper, and two others who entered too late for use of their photographs.
...Contestants whose pictures do not appear are Clare Marie
Blakley and Marjorie Scheel, Both of West Branch.

Diane DeMay, 17 year old blond senior at St.Joseph's
High School, is queen of the Ogemaw Hills Winter Sports Carnival.
Miss DeMay also was named Miss Michigan the the sports carnival
at Grayling.

With the mercury hovering around zero in Detroit, more
than 700 Detroit News Hikers braved even lower temperatures in the annual Snow Train expedition to West Branch Michigan. Instead
of one Snow Queen, there were three chosen to preside over the program of winter sports activites.
