In July, it will be thirteen years that Carl and
I have been retired.
I retired from Bay Medical Center and Carl from Teamsters.
We spent the last twelve winters in Arizona, but as of last
winter, we are living in West Branch year-round.
While in Arizona, Carl was Director and I was head score keeper
for the International Shuffle Board Tournament. We had players from Australia, Brazil, Canada, Japan and the United States.
It was a great experience.
We have four childring living, eleven grandchildren and four
great-grandchildren.

When we gathered for the 24th Class Reunion, I looked
at the "old" alums in the class of 50 years and wondered what it would be like to be in their places...well, here we are!
During those 25 years, I attended Alma College, where I met
my husband, Jim Fox. We married in 1959, moved to Arizona and raised three children, all of whom re now married, living in
Colorado or California and raising families of their own. They have given us five grandchildren.
The second 25 years have been busy too.
Still living on the desert and loving it, I have owned and managed
our gift and collectibles shop, graduated from Arizona State University, played tennis and hiked the Grand Canyon, Machu Pichu,
the Swiss Alps and the Great Wall of China.
Currently, I'm working part time, still skiing (sometimes with
a grandson who's skiing backward as I struggle to ski foward!), playing bridge, hiking and traveling every chance I get.
Most summers I'm back for a week or two at the cottage at Clear
Lake. My father, who is now 96, spends his summers there and the winters in Arizona near me.

Since graduation, I married my high school sweetheart,
Shirley Spencer. We have four children, 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, all of them living in Michigan.
I attended Wayne State University, Central Michigan University,
Los Angeles State, and Northwestern Michigan CLU.
I worked in construction, Saginaw Steering Gear, Evans Products
and North American Aviation.
I have been self employed as a State Farm Insurance Agent in
Lake City, Michigan for 30 years.
I retired in 1995.
I became an ordained priest in the Community of Christ Church
in 1991, specializing in music ministry, singing in churches and rest homes and at funerals and weddings.
My hobbies include woodworking, Beagle hounds, traveling, fishing
in Alaska for the past 10 years.
My favorite pass-time is keeping Shirley happy for so many years.
