West Branch High School Alumni Association Minutes May 26, 2012

The welcome was given by President Ray Valley. (1950)

The invocation was given by Vice President Richard Hamilton (1959)

The meeting was called to order at 7:45 by President Ray Valley.

Old Business

The Fire Marshal prohibits tables blocking entrances and egresses.

New Business

The Executive Board met in West Branch, May 7th 2012 at 10 a.m.

Two guests were present; Emma Jean Ouderkirk Valley (1951) and Don Tuck.

Mike Ehinger (1964) arrived at 10:40 a.m.

Two guests were invited to meet with the board at 11 a.m. and arrived at that time; Mary Ellen Sappington Good (1961) and Nancy Rea Griffin (1958).

President Ray Valley announced that a non-profit Directorship had been established for the WBHS Alumni Association on 3/8/1999.

That Directorship has not been operating as such since that time. Therefore, there will no longer be business meetings conducted at the annual banquet, beginning this year, 2012.

Topics regarding mailings from outside the WBHS Alumni Association will be referred to the Secretary (Mary Anne Whitchuch Tuck 1953) for review by the Executive Board.

President Ray Valley expressed appreciation to Lauretta Grezeszak and staff for preparing the banquet, and to the staff for setting up the hall, and to LaVonne Harris for the music.

The roll call of classes was conducted by Secretary Mary Anne Whitchurch Tuck.

The recipients of scholarships award to Ogemaw Hts graduates were announced by Treasurer Nancy Blancher Finerty (1957).

A report from the West Branch High School Endowment Fund was given by Nancy Rea Griffin.*

The meeting was adjourned at 8:50 p.m. by President Ray Valley.
